Installing DT Max from a network |
To install a version of DT Max from a network directory:
- You must first copy the contents of the DT Max CD to a network drive which
is accessible from all workstations, in a directory created to that end (e.g.
F:\Temp\DTMaxCD).
To do so;
- In Windows Explorer, click once the desired network
drive.
- Then, in the File menu, select New and Folder.
Give this new folder the name of your choice.
To copy the CD files:
- In Windows Explorer, select D: (or whichever drive CD-Rom's are read from).
- Mark all folders (the easiest way is to choose Select all in the Edit menu),
put your pointer in the highlighted area, right-click and select Copy.
- Then, return to the new folder, right-click and choose Paste.
- To install the program on any workstation, click the "setup.exe"
file and select the standard installation (if you wish to install the
knowledge base as well) or the customized installation (where you can
untick the knowledge base, if you do not require it).
- You may change the installation path to a preferred location on
the hard drive (C:) of the workstation, but we recommend using the
default path (C:\Program Files\DT Max).
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 on other workstations, as required.
